Hugh Crane Descaling Acid

A hydrochloric acid solution, minimum 30% concentration which incorporates an inhibitor to minimise attack on ferrous metals.

Descaling Acid is for the removal of hard water scale from the heat exchangers of steam cleaners and hot pressure washers.

Use in accordance with the instructions set out in the machine manual. Generally, a solution of one part descaler to eight parts water is poured into the break tank, then pumped through the system. In some cases it may be possible for the descaler to be drawn through the detergent system instead of applying via the break tank. After a contact time of 10 – 15 minutes, flush the system thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
