OPC Disinfectants

A hydrogen peroxide based detergency booster. Booster is a primary or secondary additive to caustic detergents for the removal of heavy organic deposits found across the food and beverage industries.
Booster is a highly concentrated liquid additive to caustic that enhances detergency and soil removal at temperatures up to 80&deg;C during CIP applications where organic soiling is a problem.
Booster when added to blended caustic detergents gives improved detergency over the use of blended products alone, resulting in shorter cleaning times.
Typical use concentrations for Booster are 0.09-0.43% w/w (0.08-0.39% v/v) dosed into the dilute caustic detergent solution being used at ambient to 80&deg;C. Exact concentrations depend upon the application and level of organic soiling. Booster should be added carefully to a vented CIP system and equipment to prevent pressure build caused by a powerful exothermic reaction between strong acids and alkaline. Solutions containing Booster should be thoroughly rinsed after use to remove them from all food and beverage contact surfaces.

Alcospray (was Alcosan) is an alcohol-based disinfectant also containing low levels of organic sequestrant and quaternary ammonium compound (QAC). It is specially formulated for direct application to surfaces when it is impossible or undesirable to use large amounts of water-based products. It is effective against most vegetative forms of micro-organisms including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and yeasts.
Alcospray&nbsp;is safe for use on food contact surfaces and evaporates rapidly, leaving virtually no residue. It is recommended for use in high-risk areas to clean and disinfect conveyors, fillers and other equipment after small product spillages etc. It can also be applied during mid-shift breaks to maintain a good standard of hygiene until production is restarted again.
Alcospray&nbsp;is suitable for use with the spray applicator provided or using a clean dry cloth or tissue.

Diversey Quatdet Clear is a terminal disinfectant specially formulated for use in the food and beverage industries.

Quatdet Clear combines a blend of cationic materials to provide a broad spectrum of anti-microbial activity and a high rate of kill even at low temperatures. It is active against commonly occurring micro-organisms including yeasts.

Quatdet Clear solutions are safe to use on most materials found in the food and beverage industries including stainless and galvanised steels, aluminium, and commonly occurring plastics. Compatibility with other materials should be checked prior to use.

Quatdet Clear is tolerant of hard water, organic soils and detergents. Its antimicrobial activity is unaffected by these materials.

Quatdet Clear has been subjected to taint testing by independent laboratories and if used in accordance with instructions for use, will not give rise to taint. Quatdet Clear is moderately foaming and is suitable for a wide range of soak, spray and fogging applications.

 Can be applied as a spray or by means of a clean mop, cloth or sponge. Small items, or dismantled equipment, may be cleaned and immersed in a Tego 2001 solution.

 Tego 2001 is ideal for low temperature production areas as it maintains its efficacy even at 10°C.

 Tego 2001 can be used for fogging.

Diversey Zal Perax ll VT48 is a highly effective oxidising disinfectant based on peracetic acid for use in the agriculture and intensive livestock industries.

Zal Perax II is based on a stabilised solution of peracetic acid (5%) plus added surface active/wetting agent to assist application and promote efficient contact of the disinfectant solution with surfaces.

Zal Perax II has proven efficacy against a wide range of micro-organisms. It has been extensively tested in the laboratory and in-use, and shown to have broad spectrum activity against bacteria and viruses of importance in the effective maintenance of animal health and hygiene. After use, its breakdown products consisting of acetic acid and water are relatively harmless in the environment.

Zal Perax II is designed as a terminal disinfectant for use after surfaces have been thoroughly cleaned and rinsed to remove all gross soil. It is recommended for use in animal housing, dismantled equipment, boot dips and the treatment of water distribution systems. It can also be used to disinfect drinking water (birds in crop).

Zal Perax II is suitable for soak, spray and fogging application.

Hugh Crane HP6 Hydrogen Peroxide 6%

A ready to use gel cleaner, designed for cleaning and maintaining hygienic conditions in heat exchangers of chiller units in the food, beverage and dairy industries.

Securegel contains an effective blend of wetting agents, emulsifiers and solvents. It is applied neat to the surface via spray equipment and forms a tenacious film with condensate water. It must not be rinsed off. The tenacious product film slowly dissolves in the condensate to give a continuous release of its cleaning and hygienic properties. 

Securegel is noncorrosive toward materials normally encountered in chiller units, including aluminium, copper and galvanised surfaces. However, it should not be used on units with a coated heat exchanger.
Securegel is suitable for use with most types of low-pressure spray equipment.

Divodes FG is a fast working disinfectant spray for use in mid-shift and terminal disinfection applications.
Divodes FG is safe for use on food contact surfaces and evaporates rapidly, leaving no residue. It is suitable for the disinfection of alcohol-safe surfaces, machines and components (conveyors, fillers, bottle inspectors, water-sensitive components, etc) and articles such as chopping boards commonly found in the food and beverage industry. Use instructions 
Divodes FG is used undiluted, apply by spraying onto surfaces and leave to dry. Rinsing is not necessary unless legally specified. N.B. Avoid spraying near to motors or other unprotected electrical equipment. Avoid aerosol formation. Do not spray onto hot surfaces and avoid spraying near ignition sources (open flames, etc).

Additive Boost 5 is a special additive normally added to detergent solutions based on caustic soda. Has properties such that it finds uses in the detergent industry as a (non-chlorinated) bleach, a disinfectant and as an oxidising agent to help break down and remove heavy organic deposits. It is usually used as an additive to boost the cleaning efficiency of the usual detergent regime in CIP systems in instances where heavy soil build-up has occurred.
